So why isn't Obama upset with what Rhode Island is doing? And just for the record, I approve of what RI, AZ and VA are doing.

From Woonsocket to Westerly, the troopers patrolling the nation’s smallest state are reporting all illegal immigrants they encounter, even on routine stops such as speeding, to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE.
The more states who come out of the shadows and report they follow the law, the better for the Arizona lawsuit. We definately have crooks running the WH.
25-50% of all gangsters arrested in northern and western Virginia are estimated to be deportable aliens. Gang investigators estimate that 90% of the members of MS-13, the most notorious immigrant gang, are illegal aliens.
Because State and local law enforcement are allowed and encourraged by DHS to join a voluntary program known simply as 287(g) which puts local LEO under the jurisdiction of ICE agents. This is following Federal Immigration law...Not Writing their own[Az].

Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act
The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRAIRA), effective September 30, 1996, added Section 287(g), performance of immigration officer functions by state officers and employees, to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). This authorizes the secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to enter into agreements with state and local law enforcement agencies, permitting designated officers to perform immigration law enforcement functions, pursuant to a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), provided that the local law enforcement officers receive appropriate training and function under the supervision of sworn U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.
State and local patrol officers, detectives, investigators and correctional officers working in conjunction with ICE gain: necessary resources and authority to pursue investigations relating to violent crimes, human smuggling, gang/organized crime activity, sexual-related offenses, narcotics smuggling and money laundering; and support in more remote geographical locations.
All I could think of was a line from the movie, Arthur: Arthur: It's terribly small, tiny little country. Rhode Island could beat the crap out of it in a war. THAT'S how small it is.

So... even if the Fed overturn the AZ immigration law, they can just join this 287(g) thing? And the end results would be the same... so then I hate that the Feds and AZ have to waste a ton of money on legal fees just to make Obama happy and looking good to the US Hispanic voting population.
