Bush's Mexico-domiciled trucks plan flunks safety rules
The Bush administration is continuing to ignore the law and failing to protect the public as it barrels ahead with a pilot project allowing trucks from Mexico to travel throughout the United States, even though the public disapproves of the plan, according to new data released today by safety advocates.

If this moves forward hundreds if not thousands of American truck drivers will lose their jobs. Plus who knows what those Mexicans will haul up here. Drugs? More illegals?
Bush will do a pilot test using a Mexican truck company at end of this month.
Feinstein said she wants to get permission from the Mexican government first.
Most of these trucks will be unsafe. They won't have the same safety standards enforced. Somehow or another they may have the safety requirements on the books but the government down there is too corrupt. The result will be more Americans will die on the roads.
ALSO, the TEAMSTERS did not really protest the trucks - union organizers were handing the Mexican drivers flyers about how to join the Teamsters Union..!!!
So I guess it's if you can't beat em join em to the Teamsters. And they were a day late and a dollar short with their protests.
The Teamsters Union is NOT on the side of American truck drivers. They are only too willing to let them into our country and their union. We have MANY traitors in this country who would sell their own mother for a buck it seems.
