What happened to the damn rules all LEGAL immigrants have to abide by? Do we get a "pass" as well? Are we allowed to ONLY abide by the laws we decide are valid for us and ignore the rest?

Perhaps I shouldn't bother to renew my GC if I don't have citizenship by the time it expires? After all it's an onerous obligation to have to front up to the USCIS office and fill out all those forms and be fingerprinted and pay the fees........I demand equal rights with the illegals.
Every legal immigrant should be pissed.

People need to spread the word about this far & wide. I'm sure the greater majority of Americans have no clue this is going on. I wouldn't have known, either, had I not read it here.

This also means all the $$$ and time, effort and manpower required to round up these illegal detainees is now for nothing..........

Maybe we'll get lucky and a few will take the hint and run and keep on running back to wherever they came from, but I doubt it. They'll see it the same way we do - they're getting a "home free" card...........

I guess it never occurred to those responsible that they could have just sped up the processing...........

Clinton was impeached as well, but unless he is removed from office, it doesn't mean a thing.

There is a thread asking why he should be impeached.

He took an oath stating that he would uphold the laws of the constitution. Not only is he not upholding the laws by deporting those that are here illegally, he is keeping others from doing their jobs as well. If he is not going to do the job he was elected to do, he should resign.

All have done a few things they could have been proud of and a few things I am sure they would have loved to do differently, but this is the first time I can honestly say, I am not pround of our president and I do not think he is a true lover of America. This is a hard thing to admit and a sad day for our country.

It's tragic indeed that within the Black community one is seen as a traitor of sorts if they dislike or oppose Obama. I believe I can recall only one or two African-Americans I have met who dislike Obama. It is my opinion that our President is a betrayer to our fore-fathers and seems to have it in mind to destroy everything that has made this country the greatest nation on earth since its inception. I do not recognize his presidency as legitimate.

If it was up to me I would pull troops back from the middle-east and militarize our border with Mexico. But I'll never get that chance because my values would be considered too insensitive to be elected in the first place. But just think of the motivation to high-tail it back southward when you have automatic weapons aimed at you.

The Republican politicians want to maintain cheap labor for the corporations. The Democrats want to retain the minority vote. Don't expect anything to change for the better. The only losers here are the innocent hard working/voting taxpayers.

Other than for those who are seeking political, or religious asylum, I see no need for hearings. Either they're here legally, or they're not. If illegally, they should be deported. I can't see what they have to argue in court in defense of their being allowed to remain in this country.

I totally agree! This would free up the detention centers and the courts and less costly to the taxpayer. As you said, either they prove they are here legally or they get deported quickly.
