so if im reading this correctly, only none violent, illegals who can potentially become citizens, are being let out of detention in order to house and process the real bad guys.
makes sense to me.
looking at the numbers the 17000 only account for 4.6% of the total 369000 detentions. its not like its half or even a quarter of the total.
its seems like a logical move. the only question i have is how are they monitoring those that are set free pending their court dates?

These “potential” citizens were scheduled for deportation because they either entered illegally or overstayed visas. Isn’t that true for ALL illegals?
Their cases have been dismissed without a hearing. Thus, we don’t know if they are violent criminals; and we won’t know until after they rape, murder, or maim. That is, IF they are caught. This is only the initial stage of the backdoor amnesty. It’s a free-for-all, and a travesty, period.
There is a thread asking why he should be impeached.
He took an oath stating that he would uphold the laws of the constitution. Not only is he not upholding the laws by deporting those that are here illegally, he is keeping others from doing their jobs as well. If he is not going to do the job he was elected to do, he should resign.
Sorry, the fact is that this admin has deported more IIs than any other. Please start repeating reliable, responsible news and not lying trash.

What good does it do to deport more than previous administrations, if the majority will be permitted to remain? For example: Deportations = 400,000 -- Amnesty = 20+ million. In addition, a large percentage of those deported simply return. That’s not my idea of progress.

So you'd be happier if the Obama admin deported fewer IIs.
How unexpected.
"The number of immigrants being detained in the United States has doubled in the past decade, to 369,000 annually. There are now about 248,000 cases awaiting review in backlogged immigration courts, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University, which tracks immigration statistics.
"The increases have triggered huge logistical problems and exposed successive administrations to charges that those who are in the country illegally, a violation of civil statutes, are being exposed to unnecessarily harsh conditions.
Simultaneously, ICE officials maintain, clogged immigration courts divert officials from identifying, tracking down and deporting illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes and other offenses."
IOW, not as simple, or as simpleminded, as you all... would like it to be.

That doesn’t change the fact that millions are being permitted to remain. They have halted deportations for all but the so-called “violent” criminals. And, the “detained” are being released. How does that solve our problem?
with limited resources it is smarter to go after the violent offenders, not some guy who got caught up at a checkpoint.
it makes sense. ideally, they would go after who they could. since they cant, they prioritize.
i have no problem with this at all.
and illegal immigrants in the US are now closer to 11 million. they went down this year.

i think they are referring to the deprotation proceedings and not the criminal(rape murder, etc) cases. if they are potentially eligible, let those cases play out within the court system.
but they WOULD not let murderers out like that.
and all their information is still in AFIS. even those caught at the border (without cases) get put into AFIS.

This is an injustice. Why aren't US citizens and legal residents speaking out against this more? This is crazy!
Also not true! They are checked to see if they are wanted if not they are deported.
