Hypocritical Mexico is now building their own wall on border with Guatemala...press ignores - National Immigration reform | Examiner.com
Mexican Pres. Calderon ought to call Obama and see if he'll apologise for this also.

Actually the southern border wall in Mexico might be what Mexico does need to do.

There are many Central Americans involved in the drug cartels. Some reports claim that the beheadings are done by kaibiles of Guatemala. Guatemala special forces recruited by the cartels to do the very gruesome torture and mutilation like decapitation. The jobs Mexicans don't really want to do.

Like it or not, this will benefit the U.S. indirectly. Most of the criminals from Mexico are not native Mexicans. Most came from countries south of Mexico (El Salvador, etc.). Mexico used to be such a safe place until criminals, drug lords etc. started ruining it by killing innocent Mexicans. I see why people are mad about the way the money was used and I agree with the fact that this is hypocracy, but crime in Mexico is rampant and it is not necessarily rooted there. I definitely see why they feel the need to build a wall.

I agree; they do have a right to protect their borders. However, how can Mexico decry the construction of our wall, and accuse us of being xenophobes, while they are doing the same to protect their border? I’m sick of the U.S. being the only country in the world considered mean-spirited and racist, simply because we want to enforce our immigration laws and protect our borders.

So you think we should let them migrate north to do the same to the US?

Not only that, but I still want to know why we have to give them those kind of funds when they are a country rich in resources and WELL able to fund themselves (and let's not even MENTION their 2nd largest economic resource which is the $$ in remittances they get from Mexicans in the US)

Which are all the same reasons the USA needs to build a wall. Good fences make for good neighbors. Mexico needs a southern wall and so do we.
