How can this be? I thought only anti-Hispanic/Mexican/Latino nativists, racists, and xenophobes oppose the DREAM Act and illegal immigration.
Quote:
According to Carmen Morales, Latino activist and a leader of the coalition, "Latino leaders are gathered today in solidarity. We are here to send a strong message to Congress that as Latinos, we stand staunchly opposed to any measure that puts Americans at a disadvantage and rewards illegal behavior."
Bravo, Bravo for these honest and truely patriotic citizens. If more Hispanics would do the same this would go a long ways towards destroying an unwanted stereotype.
I want to talk with a good friend of mine about how he feels on the DREAM act. He is a naturalized US citizen who was brought here by his mother when she legally immigrated here when he was only 2. I hope he opposes it!
I respect these People more then most, they are going aginast the grain of salt. I respect them for voicing their thoughts, instead of what should be considered the norm from them, this is their opinion, based on the rights of those of us who are here legally, and they most definite are opposed to those illegals here illegally. This is a strong message from them, i hope it gets received.
So it isn't possible for any Hispanic to not be a racist, ethnocentric?
