Obama has been quite conservative on economic policy. We'll see if the Reps are any better on this issue. Big business has every reason to love a docile workforce. They pay them little, offer them no benefits or rights and then force local communities to clean up the mess. We'll see if the Reps are really serious when they get birthright citizenship repealed, tell the president of Mexico to fix up his own country instead of invading ours, demand better border enforcement and sanction employers who hire illegal migrants.
I hope that the Republicans can accomplish all of that. However, keep in mind that they don't control the Senate and I think they will meet with much opposition there.

Remember; no more dem super majority in the senate
I'm so sick of hearing the right talk about "THESE GOD DAMN LIBERALS AND THIS FENCE". What the hell did Bush do? What did your hero Reagan do? Other then grant amnesty to millions of illegals. What did every other President before Obama do for the past few decades as the Drug Cartel gained more and more power? The people you supported were no different, you hypocrites...

Before then the Republicans were in charge. All that happened was more illegal migrants came across the border without permission. The right has a lousy record on this issue. They refuse to punish employers and have no problem with encouraging socially conservative hispanics to move here even if it means punishing the middle class. They don't care about overcrowded public schools because their children attend private schools. They don't care about overcrowded emergency rooms or rising property taxes because they have private insurance and granddaddy's inherited money to pay for all their needs.
This isn't a left or right issue. This is an issue where no one chooses to listen to the American people.
The past can't be changed, the present can. That's what this topic is about, the present.
So stick with the issue at had and stop trying to devert it.

First off I supported Reagan until he granted amnesty to millions of illegals in 1986. I never supported either Bush's and yes several administrations are guilty of not addressing the illegal alien problem. I am a conservative but I am no hypocrite. I hold the administrations of the past 20 years responsible both Republican and Democrat.

Uhmmm if you bothered to read the posts you will see that they were critisized as well for their position on illegals.
