A waiver for Utah would be unprecedented. I really don't think Obama wants to go there.

old post but, I agree. Very poorly trained and so rude and arrogant, I thought. We were not in Mexico, South or Central America. We were in the USofA and english is the language to be spoken in a retail establishmnet....as well as, total disregard of the customer until they finished THEIR conversation.

Gov. Herbert has probably ensured he won't win reelection or statewide office again. I'm not worried lots of GOP officials who voted for this will face primaries where they will lose assuming they haven't been recalled by then.

When you are dictated by big business and elite church officials you lose sight of who actually votes.

It will also be interesting to see where Orrin Hatch falls on this to get an idea of mood in Utah. If he runs away from this you know this issue will be poison in '12.

Wow, we were planning on moving to Utah this summer; not so sure now. Beautiful state and we love the skiing there, but my wife who is in the legitimate process of becoming a US citizen and myself have no tolerance for this type of legislation. Utah will become a cr*phole in a few years if this passes.

Maybe we should just move to Thailand... we have had better career opportunities there!

I fully sympathize. We went through the same long, costly, and somewhat humiliating process for my wife's citizenship. It is infuriating that illegals get more benefits than legal immigrants. We can blame former Senator Phil Graham for much of that, and his wife is from Korea!
