After the incident with the Deputy being wounded, I'll wait for more information before I have an opinion on an incident in Pinal County, it doesn't border Mexico
War on Drugs? hasnt the US had a war on drugs since 1971?
The OP said the “drug war” not the War on Drugs. Yes, we have had the latter for years. However, the actual war, and ensuing violence, had previously been restricted to Mexico. Actually, no one should be surprised. It was only a matter of time.

Youre exactly right, the 40 year War on Drugs has on the US side has been a bloodless cakewalk...No gun battles or murders.

I never said it was a “bloodless cakewalk.” The illicit drug trade is a dangerous business for all involved. However, the violence associated with the barbaric Mexican drug cartels is commonplace in Mexico, and thousands of Mexican citizens have been killed. The bombings, mutilations, decapitations, mass graves, kidnappings, etc. have thus far been restricted to Mexico. I have no knowledge of these atrocities being perpetrated by Mexican drug cartels in the U.S. during the past 40 years. If you know otherwise, please provide a link.

The cartels KNOW what would happen if they started that stuff here in the USA. This aint Mexico: many good people carry, especialy here in Arizona and WILL shoot first and ask questions later.

Can you possibly post a response that isn't dripping with deflection? If you want to start a bash America thread please do instead of using mine to try and detour the debate. Thank you.

What's your thoughts on this, local thugs or are the cartel simply expanding?
