It's guaranteed that the Socialists that run the Peoples Republik of MD will find any reason they can to reject as many signatures as possible.
Here's the latest 'rules' that petition signatures must follow:

And of course once the People have spoken, if they don't like the results of the election you can guarantee that one of the Communists will sue the State with some allegation of voter fraud/illegal something/whatever in an attempt to legislate from the bench. Just look at what that commie Van Hollen filed on 4/21/11 because he doesn't like the ruling on campaign finance. Seems it's OK for the demokrat supporters to have a say in the elections, but not any body else.
Just sign me a recovering democrat (I've seen the light)
Perhaps not. They'll need between 150,000-200,000 signatures, because the Democrats will try to throw out as many signatures as possible.
It's not just the total number of signatures State wide. Each County PLUS Baltimore City has to have the correct number of signatures for said jurisdiction. The number is based on a percentage of voters that voted for the Governor in each jurisdiction.
Yeah, the Socialists have lots of twists added in 'doing the peoples business', so it's not just as simple as getting 50some thousand valid signatures.

It really shouldn't be a problem. I live in PG which is mostly black and overwhelmingly liberal and this petition should sail through here. I listen to WOLB, a black Baltimore station, I should have recorded the calls about this tuition debacle. Most were vehemently against and the few that were for it had other agendas like seeing MD bankrupted.
The only county that could throw a monkey wrench as I see it is Montgomery County. A lot of the state's liberal looniness emanates from that county. A lot of liberal elites and their dependent immigrants reside there. However we should be able to overcome them in the upper reaches of the county.
If you live in Maryland and oppose having your tax dollars used to subsidize tuition for illegal aliens, you will soon be able to sign a petition to stop this travesty. I will post details as soon as I have more info.

I am a flight attendant and live in howard county and need to know how I can sign the petition from out of town if possible. Thanks!
Youre right, I dont live in Maryland, so I'll take your word that Maryland voters are fraudulant group.
Your attempt to twist the words of every anti-illegal poster on this forum is tiresome, and not the least bit humorous. I did not say the voters in Maryland are engaged in fraud. I said there is overwhelming opposition to illegal immigration. Therefore, there should easily be enough signatures to overturn this law, unless those responsible for counting the petition signatures commit fraud.

Not exactly. The petitions have to have 3% of the total cast for Governor in the last election with not more than half the signatures coming from any one County or Baltimore City.
