(Reuters) - The Texas Senate early on Wednesday passed a measure pushed by Governor Rick Perry aimed at cracking down on cities that provide sanctuary to illegal immigrants.

Compared to what some states have done this is toothless, wussy, and seems to be designed only to give Perry something to talk about on the campaign trail.
