SPECIAL REPORT: Border Corruption | KTSM News Channel 9

In the Mexican drug war, U.S. authorities are finding a disturbing trend: an increase in American law enforcement officials corrupted by wealthy Mexican criminals who pay them to look the other way as illegal drugs and immigrants flow north into the United States.

At a U.S. Senate hearing, it was revealed that Mexican cartel members are infiltrating American law enforcement. There was also testimony that during a hiring push that began five years ago to add thousands of Border Patrol and CBP officers, only 10 percent of the initial applicants were given polygraph tests.

In El Paso, but I'm sure it's going on all over, people in Juarez charge $600 to $1000 to have illegals wait "until it's the right time" and then they are led to an area right at the bridge and walk on over.

How else can these women know when it's the right time that agents won't happen to notice dozens of people crossing over illegally? Hint - they aren't really mind readers.

It's a very well known fact that in El Paso at least it's very easy for illegals to come over - with laser visas they purchased from these human trafficking/cartel criminal rings or they will arrange to pass them through the border right in the middle of town when it's "the right time".

I also know for a fact that there are border patrol agents whose family members have been arrested for drug trafficking.

Now some of these could just be good and bad in the same family - but all too often blood is thicker than water and when their own relatives living in Mexico or some other country decide they want to get to the USA, or make some money bringing in a truckload of drugs, it's simply too easy for these agents to decide family bonds are more important.

Some however are out-and-out corrupt, working for their cartel, the cartel is their family.

Napolitano either knows better and is lying when she says the border is secure or she's ignorant.

The border absolutely is not secure, the cartels often decide who will enter the USA, the cartels with their street gangs determine the price, the money they will ask.

The U.S should put more security on our borders. (i do not blame the Mexican people at all, they do it to escape their living hells due to the corruption of their government, not even a government, a business, due to the fact their president is working with the cartels). Those people need encouragement to do the right thing and come here legally so there doesn't have to be a big deal

Since when did the phrase "everybody has their price" go out of style???

Let's stop with the ridiculous idea of constantly putting more and more people down on the border to stop this illegal invasion.

America is the expert in robotics....

Put automated defense's down on the border similar to what Israel has deployed to keep their citizens safe from foreign invaders.

Why don't they grow a pair and stay in Mexico and fix it? How is it ever going to change if their solution is to jump our borders instead and create havoc on our society? They want instant gratification. They don't want to wait and come legally. They don't care how it negatively it impacts our citizens and country and that is just plain selfish. Besides there are more that are here and want to continue to come here than we cannot accomodate in jobs and resources. Should we destroy our own for them?

YEAH HOWEVER none of this crap at all would be going on, if and when we would of done something about this crap a long long time ago. Neither party had the ba--s to do something about it, they both chose to look the other way, how wrong.

We should not be experiencing the good nor the bad, if those who are in power actually would of given a damn. Both partys have let us down big time. Democraps see this as not a problem at all.

Why not give them all polygraph tests now? As Federal Agents it shouldn't be that tough. And give jail sentences that are long enough to those that fail that it would be a deterrant to those that may want to infiltrate in the future.

I wish that instead of coming to the U.S illegally, and disrespecting this great nation, these people can get a sense of empowerment and rebuild their country and overthrow their stupid government, because we got problems here in U.S, and they are only contributing to the economic problem we have our nation (not racist against mexicans being that im half latino *but not mexican*)

But they won't. It is much easier to come here, work under the table... Have a handful of kids and live off government handouts that they never paid into.

And the sad part is thousands of Americans still feel sorry for them. You see that everyday on this forum.

Sickening.

More evidence that the current regime could be replaced by a profitable market that generates revenue for the United States.
