If 20 million illegals left, we would still have to rid our country of a good 10+ million more. And, that doesn’t include those who would come after the exodus.
I see the long term atmosphere as good but in the short term I do think it would be fairly chaotic. Wages would have to be raised rather quickly to attract legal workers to avoid shortage of certain items like vegetables. Basically anyone using illegals would be in a bind unless they shelled out a legal wage in short order. I am sure most would do that and if they cannot operate successfully and legally then their operation should fail.
I'd smile, then push to get the remaining illegal aliens out of America...
Then there would no longer be a need for bi-lingual documents/signs etc... (save a ton of $$$$)....
No longer when I call a business would I have to hear "Press 1 for English, 2 for spanish"
I'd suspect southern California would be almost deserted.......
