I live in California and illegal immigration isnt necessarily the cause for leaving. It may be part of the cause for some people, but definitely not all. I love California and so do most of my friends and family... And none of us are leaving anytime soon, illegals or not.

Not really. In fact , the people I've known who have moved haven't even mentioned illegal immigration as a big reason they were moving. They've moved because of jobs, family, cost of living etc, but illegal immigrants haven't necessarily been a deciding factor.

they probably didn't want to be blackballed or cause a stir. but in their hearts they knew the truth.
California is too beautiful to just up and leave unless something was really bothering them and wasn't getting taken care of.

Yes, but cost of living is directly related to illegal immigration because of the higher taxes. I know many people who have left Calif. ( I am a Californian myself) and the reasons are a mix of what you stated plus far too many illegal aiens in our state raising our taxes and taking away job opportunities for Americans.

You're right. But illegals were far down the list when I decided to relocate. At the top? A state government that over-regulated, overtaxed and over-controlled the people.
