Farmers Branch says U.S. District Judge Jane Boyle erred last year in ruling that its ordinance is pre-empted by federal immigration law. The city argues that denying illegal immigrants access to rental housing isn't fundamentally different than denying them employment or public benefits. The pro Illegal crowd is arguing that the new law has unconstitutional restrictions on home rentals to illegal immigrants

How do you rent to someone with no IDs or SSN? How can you do a background check on them and verify employment?

Oh yeah, that's right. You can't because they are here ILEGALLY and if they do have a SSN it will be either a fake or stolen one...which happens to be a crime.

Shouldn't that be reason enough to deny them?

Where has common sense gone???

Hmmmm Should Hertz be required to rent a car to someone who does not have a drivers license? I don't think so.
Ever try to rent a motel or hotel room without ID? On TV they show people renting with cash. LOL I have tried as I am loath to use plastic. Basically the answer is no. They want that plastic in case you have damaged the room. Now to use plastic when checking in they require ID. I do mean everytime. I travel a lot. For the copany I work for and for personal enjoyment. I have never been able to rent a room without ID and plastic. I admit I don't go to 1 star hotels though either.

You don't need to have a US driver license to rent a car You can rent from a license of any country You will find lots of undocumented aliens do have a credit card from their country Moreover these days you can get a debit visa card at any dept store for use at hotels or traveling

You said it as usual. How can you, they are illegally. And their IDs are most likely fake if they have ID. And yes this is a crime, we care, does anyone who is suppose to care really care.

Common sense for the most part, has left people.
