DADT was US policy that prohibited military personnel from discriminating against or harassing closetedhomosexual or bisexual service members or applicants, while barring openly gay, lesbian, or bisexual persons from military service. This was in action from 1993 - 2011. The restrictions were mandated by United States federal lawPub.L. 103-160 (10 U.S.C.§ 654).
You don't seem to understand what DADT actually was. There was no lying being done by anybody, but there certainly was prior to DADT, closeted kinda explains it, no? There would be discrimination due to the barring of openly gay persons, thus, this is why DADT is now being repealed.
Tell that to the thousands of people who were kicked out due to someone finding out they were gay. How you can't see lying taking place under DADT is absolutely lol-tastic.

They're trying to make people think deportations are down because there are fewer illegal aliens crossing the border, when in fact it's simply because Obama isn't deporting them.
It's probably both, actually. Illegal immigration is way down, so it makes sense that, at least in part, so is deportation. Obama HAS deported more than the previous administration, and yes, the slowing down is also likely part of the political game. In the end, though, Obama has been much harsher on this than people would've thought.

Thousands? I would like to see the numbers that support your claim. Over how many years?
Many people lost their careers for fraternization. Two consenting adults right?
When I enlisted I understood UCMJ.... That is our law.
Now back to illegals joining.
Illegals lie begining to end. No one is forcing DADT folks to lie. They are told dont advertise. Pretty much the same as if an officer and an enlisted decide to become more then officer and enlisted to each other.
Please dont try to lump lying ,stealing, illegals with those who serve their country honorably.
Now illegals pretty much have to have committed some horrendous crime to be deportable.
And what's worse, all they have to do is claim some kind of victim status and they're home free with the U visa. On a radio show for illegals, a pro-illegal immigration lawyer will suggest ways they can claim victim status. Get caught with drugs, and they can claim the drugs were planted on them, and that gets them a U visa because they would be victims of a crime.

I have no problem with the repeal of DADT. As for lying, the policy was "we won't ask, you won't tell", it would only be lying if they were asked and they denied it. Prior to the policy of DADT, to include after the policy of DADT, if you were gay and you openly admitted it, then you would be discharged. Again, no lying, but possible discrimination. You confuse the 2, they are not the same. How you can see lying taking place is ....wait for it.... . Gays new prior to signing military documents that if they were gay, or found out to be gay, they would be discharged, so to that point the ones lying to enlist would be them. DADT simply relinquished the fact that gays were in the military. Repealing of DADT allows gays to openly join the military. Again I have no problem with that.
Since you have never been in the military and have no actual understanding of these laws, I would suggest attempting to advocate what this forum is about, illegal immigration, but then even their your knowledge is limited.
