In the wake of the SCOTUS decision announced this morning Janet Napolitano proves she is not willing to enforce existing federal immigration law as it pertains to assisting inquires from Arizona police.

Homeland Security suspends immigration agreements with Arizona police - Washington Times
Quote:

The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

Why do we need DHS at all? TSA for the little people in the USA but open borders for illegals? Is that what this corrupt Obama administration's DHS has come to? It would appear so.

Do we need more proof that Obama has no intentions of upholding the laws of this land? This clearly indicates that he will use his powers to overrule even the SCOTUS. This sends a message to AZ and all other states that this administration will not tolerate the enforcement of immigration laws. I am soooooo sorry I voted for Obama, but he damn sure won't get my vote in November.

It's one thing to have an administration with liberal ideologies, but maintains some allegiance to the U.S.

It's entirely another to take a lawless stance that basically says the border is open. We pay them to protect the border and they have refused.

It just gets more and more amazing.

I say they put it in writing and let AZ handle the border as they see fit without fear of federal retribution. Yeah - fat chance.

It would be better to drop them off at his door step.

Even though not the SCOTUS - he has ignored the courts before with the moratorium on drilling. The courts said it cannot be enforced - he ignored the court order.

This is just spiteful payback from Obama. AZ should sue him, Napolitano, and the DHS for refusing to enforce immigration law. I can't imagine the Supreme Court will be happy about Obama's end run around their ruling. What they're saying is "The SC was wrong. We don't like their ruling, so we're not going to enforce immigration law, period."
