This is what the Obama administration does. Releases criminals back into the US public to break the law.

If ONE illegal is set free and they commit crimes, ALL illegals should be held to the same standard and DEPORTED immediately.

Quote:
All told, the nearly 47,000 illegal immigrants the administration was notified of but declined to deport between 2008 and 2011 under its Secure Communities program had a recidivism rate of 16 percent, the committee said.
Report: Illegals released by feds committed 19 murders, 142 sex crimes - Washington Times

They should deport them all, but if they discover that they were all males, then they should deport all illegal males first, and then work on the females.

Default Was the Holder Dept. of Social Justice involved?

Why is anyone who has been convicted of murder or sex crimes being released? As if murder isn't bad enough adding the illegal status gives them special priviledges?

Was the DOJ involved or was this purely a decision by ICE?

from the OP's linked story:
Quote:
“The Obama administration could have prevented these senseless crimes by enforcing our immigration laws,” committee Chairman Lamar Smith said. “But President Obama continues to further his anti-enforcement agenda while innocent Americans suffer the consequences. His unwillingness to enforce immigration laws puts our communities at risk and costs American lives.”
Worth repeating!

I keep reading "Feds deport only illegals who commit crimes".

DO the Feds not know what illegal means?

and the gov. says they have to tax tax tax, well get the Illegals out of here and that would save TONS of cash.
But then Obama and his hispandering democratic minions wouldn't be able to use the illegal alien vote
they have been ushering in for years. That's why they don't want voterb ID laws enforced. Stealing elections is hard work these days.

And this here is the problem with collectivism. Entire populations are set to be punished for the actions of a discrete individuals. By this logic all Americans should be punished for the war crimes committed by the Bush and Obama administrations respectively.

Should killers and rapists have been left off without punishment? No.

Let's not however equate this to mean all illegals are violent criminals. You may argue that all illegals are inherently criminals, but the degree of the crime is significant to account for. Most US Citizens violate one rule or another throughout their day due to the absurd number of legislation that exists. Traffic laws are especially easily broken. Should we round up everyone preemptively and allot punishment accordingly? Or should we realize that simply because something is criminalized doesn't mean it's actually bad?

It's better to spend our time going after actual criminals than wasting resources going after victimless crimes.

Damn are people that dense? The illegals are being released and then going on to commit murder and sex crimes,( now stay with me here) after they were released on less serious charges. Funny you don't bother to make mention that the article says Obama has set records deporting illegals. That's the trouble with you Repugs, you see those 5 letters and it gets the air stirred between your ears and you don't look at anything objectively.

Why would you assume that we are all Republicans (not Repugs)? We have had this disussion many times about Obama's deportation record along with his back door amnesties. You might want to search for those topics for the entire story.

Deporting people one day, and then allowing their return the next day, accomplishes what? You obviously don't realize MOST deported criminal aliens return repeatedly, and when they return, they do what all career criminals do, they commit more crimes. Do a little research before posting such nonsense. And, FYI, many of the released were convicted felons guilty of rape, murder, and child molestation. Hardly "less serious" crimes.
