Medicaid has long paid hospitals for emergency care provided to eligible undocumented immigrants, but the case centers on the extent of services that should be covered. The hospitals argue AHCA changed a key standard in 2010 without going through a formal rule-making process, as required by law.

But AHCA Assistant General Counsel Jeffries Duvall disputed that, saying the agency's change was aimed at more-strictly enforcing limitations on Medicaid-funded care provided to undocumented immigrants.

It is no secret that illegal aliens are bankrupting our country at every turn. Illegal aliens are notorious for using ER services as if they are their primary care providers simply because it's "free" to them. It's time for the US to start deducting the cost of this fiasco from the foreign aid we provide to the illegal aliens' home country.

Everything you say is spot on. Ironic that some, feel that illegals don't cost us a red cent. They are wrong at every turn.

Exactly. They don't care because the services they receive provided to them for "free". If they happen to be asked for identification or to fill out the proverbial form that you and I have to fill out, they can say they don't have any and provide very little information. Only our applications and a myrid of identification and forms are scrutinized.
