I agree that if he is reelected that amnesty will be easier. Sad thing for those who are not illegally here.

If Obama makes an issue of amnesty it'll be an attempt to draw fire from his Libya fiasco. Libya will be his 'Lewinsky' in that it will weaken him considerably.

The media refuses to pursue the Libyan issue and now that Obama has won, his administration will be able to continue to cover it up anyhow.

If Obama tries for an amnesty, we do the same thing we did to stop Bush---get on the phones, and make life miserable for Congress, until they vote against it just to get us to go away. Since the Hispanic vote is no longer useful to him, he may just drop it, and work on some other agenda.

Well he won -- not by much but he's made the illegals all kinds of promises -- very big promises and they're expecting he will now follow through.

That means a very big blanket amnesty. Just yesterday he was telling the "latinos" that he was going to pour big money to revive the housing industry because that will make jobs that immigrants like. And he's going to provide government loans so they can buy houses. And he's going to get them more government grants so they don't have to worry about paying for college. And of course that quick path to US citizenship so they can bring their families here to reunite with them.

Lots and lots of promises to fill now. It's going to take many billions of dollars.

The problem for Obama is that he actually didn't win by enough to really have that big mandate he thinks he has. He's still got the Constitution to deal with that gives Congress the authority to make laws -- not the president. And he's already got a very large $16 trillion debt on his hands. And a soon to fall credit rating for this country.

Sorry the voters in less diverse states evidently don't care enough about the issue to switch their votes to the GOP. The GOP cannot afford to keep losing Florida, VA, NV and CO. Nor can they risk Texas becoming a tossup.

Amnesty needs to happen the stakes are too great at this point. We are staring at the distinct possibility of permanent socialism.
