When did the door to the American Dream close I would ask? We still allow in around 1 milion legal immigrants per year not to mention the family reunification catagory.
So the Republicans wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced is a hard line? Not wanting to reward immigration lawbreakers with amnesty when we have 23 million Americans out of work is a hard line? As I have often said before, if the Republicans are so foolish to think that caving into the ethnocentric type of Hispanics will gain them more of the Hispanic vote then they are really really stupid.
I guess the only 'American dream' that matters is the one that belongs to illegals.
So it seems the way things seem to be going their way, such a shame.
