In doing research about immigration and illegal aliens, I came across a rather significant item which should be of interest for our posters:
On page 22 and 23, the testimony to the SUBCOMMITTEE ON IMMIGRATION, CITIZENSHIP, REFUGEES, BORDER SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL LAW OF THE COMMITTEE ON THE JUDICIARY; HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, by Robert Rector, Heritage Foundation, indicated the following (copy doesn't work with this testimony document):
Of the illegal aliens in the USA, about 56% came from Mexico, 22% come from other Latin American countries, and the remaining 22% come from Asia, Europe and Africa.
It's all here and factual with the exception of two major points.
1) The Census Bereau grossly understates the number of illegal alien in this country because illegals don't answer the door when the Bereau knocks....
the illegals hide in the closet or run out the back door.
Figures closer to 20 million are more accurate.
2) 56% are from mexico. These figures are from the PEW HISPANIC CENTER.
The figure is closer to 79% according to an impartial study.
Very scarey figures in terms of dollars being ripped from the pockets of every American by illegal aliens who spit on our flag.

If you assume the report numbers, which are intended to be conservative, underreport the illegal aliens by 8 million, what makes you think that ALL categories wouldn't be underreported? If you challenge the 56%, then what is the impartial source which porvides the 79% figure? Better think this through, Pew is a very frequently used source for providing much analysis used in Congressional testimony. If you challenge the objectivity of the Hispanic Center, what is the basis of your challenge?
