Illegal Immigration is "like"....you're out shopping and return home to find someone has moved into your house. They are setting up houskeeping in your back room, and going through the refrigerator to look for dinner. When you ask who they ARE, they avoid the issue.
Your children (ages 6 and 8)tell you you're being "mean" to the nice people. They think the new people are EXCITING and COOL. PLUS, they remind you, maybe the new people can HELP you mow your lawn.
You aren't convinced. You call the police, who show up, but show no interest in the case, and soon leave. They warn you not to "threaten" the trespasser. Eventually, in a sour mood, you grumble at the trespasser, who then proceeds to become rude, and tells you that it really isn't YOUR house, anyway...it's EVERYBODY'S house....
The trespasser then sits on your sofa, opens your last beer, and turns on the TV at top volume to watch soccer. Shouting over the noise, you tell him "but I don't WANT to watch soccer---I like 'the Weather Channel'. At this point, the trespasser 'flips you off', and turns his attention back to the soccer game.
Your children tell you you're 'being a big old meanie and a racist'.....
