Much to the disappointment of the porksters and the illegal facilitators congress will take a piece by piece approach. We can only hope that one piece that will tossed will be the amnesty portion.

Anyone else smell a rat with the audience that Ryan was speaking to?
Small, short, less complicated, bills to address the problem is far better bills thousands of pages long filled with disastrous unintended (or intended) consequences ala Obamacare. Fewer chances to ruin what otherwise might be a good bill by adding hundreds of amendments to try and buy votes - let the bills, and the politicians, sink or swim on their merits.

Yes, the business lobby will press for easier access to cheap labor so that even those jobs that can't be outsourced (e.g. restaurant worker) can be done by foreign workers.
In this case people should be thankful for the strong presence of tea party types in the US House. The mainstream R's, with their business lobby connections won't block amnesty. The Democrats obviously won't. The only thing standing in the way of amnesty, which a majority of Americans opposes, is the tea party types.
I wonder where the unions will come down. It's bad for their members. Will they stick it to their own members again like they did w/ Obamacare?
There is information coming out now that makes me think this issue is dead in the water for republicans for the time being. May it rest in peace, for a long, long time.
Amnesty is going no where; they learned the last time.
