It can't go on unabated. Something has to give. Eventually.

Same poll: 74% support giving citizenship to illegals who pay fines and back taxes and pass a security check. It may be hard to accept for the right wing, but poll after poll consistently shows the same thing.

Default Who cares?

Whatever the President does, will be the best decision. This is especially true since we know that Congress is absolutely worthless given that it is Republican.

He should take Executive Action, since Congress' only intent to oppose him even if doing so will hurt the country.

What THIS President thinks is far more important than stupid polls.

That's not true. There are polls that show the opposite. I'm sure that if you looked around you will find one. And guess what? There are democrats and independents who don't want amnesty for illegals.

I think that you should read the comments that are left in response to articles written about this issue. You will notice that the comments are overwhelmingly against amnesty.

If 74% of Americans wanted amnesty for illegals, you would think that commenters would be singing their praise of illegal immigration

Also, if amnesty was so popular, then why didn't it get passed during the first two years of Obama's first term? After all, he had a majority democrat house and senate. It could have been rammed through and crammed down our throats.

When GW Bush was pushing for amnesty, Americans jammed the fax machines and crashed the phone lines on Capitol Hill with the vast majority being against amnesty.

We all know that you are an Obama sympathizer.

So, if the current president were a republican, would you say "What THIS President thinks is far more important than stupid polls"? Do tell.

Oh Yes, their short Liberal minds have forgotten what Liberals said against Bush. An injunction will be applied immediately to stop the President. Frankly in combination with the other violations of office firms a technical case for impeachment.

What this President thinks, is never more important than the will of the people, supporting and enforcing our laws, or justice for those who have obeyed our laws and are currently waiting for their turn to be granted a VISA after doing it the right way.
Obama isn't king. He is elected, just like our congress, whose job it is to pass bills and enact laws. You may hate congress and the GOP, but the American people have spoken. This last election should have sent a message to Obama. Unfortunately he refuses to listen. Public opinion polls should be telling him that WE the people disagree with him. You know the people he is supposed to be serving? The people who pay his salary?

He will no doubt get the same backlash presidents before him got for giving "amnesty" to illegals. The American people don't really know how common this action is and how ineffective it will be in the big picture of imigration reform. There are too many holes in the American business ,commercial , and industrial environment that make the holes in border look like the eye of a needle. For instance I have witnessed hundreds of motels checking in people with out asking for proper picture ID, which in the more reputable hotels they say it is the law. Most of the people I see checking into these motels are , drug dealers, prostitutes, johns and illegal immigrants.

Why doesn't anyone listen to law enforcement? It's not just an Arizona, Texas or California problem.

The sheriffs speaking out here are from Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina in addition to Arizona and Texas.

The Massachusetts sheriff said this:

"I run the homeland security task force in Bristol County. When you start diverting resources with in ICE – this administration has been watering down investigative resources, failing to deport people who need to be deported – you create a very dangerous situation. When the President issues this executive amnesty, you’re going to see people being diverted away from investigating terror threats and towards issuing this amnesty. It’s going to put our communities at much greater risk. The scary part about all of this is that we know that terrorists have been trying to infiltrate the US. It’s opening a gaping hole for terrorists to walk right into the country and strike at innocent people. When the President of the United States is sending a message that he’s not concerned with lawbreaking, those words are the beginning of the destruction of our Democracy. When you have the President saying you can come in unlawfully without consequence, basically the President is saying to do the world: don’t respect our laws. That’s I worry about: if you don’t protect the framework of Democracy, then you risk losing Democracy itself.”

Sheriffs: Obama Amnesty Is
