No one has attempted to enforce the most important part of the illegal alien laws on the books.

Employer sanctions.

Seizure of all business and personal assets, of the owners and CEO's employing the tourists, would send a shockwave.
What business owner would risk everything? Name one!

No tax dollars spent deporting anyone. The Massive self deportation would take care of it all on it's own.
No splitting up families and getting tossed across the border, with just the shirt on your back.

Those that think WE THE PEOPLE are bluffing and do risk it, would be providing revenue to the PEOPLE, for being traitors to the health of this nation.

On a side note. If you are not an American Citizen, you cannot own and run a business on US soil( a way around employer sanctions)

Without employer sanctions that have teeth, WE THE PEOPLE are just feeding the beast.

There is no way that employers will be sanctioned since the Republicans party is pro business.

And the democrats want more voters. That said, plenty of elitist limousine liberals hire illegals.

Sorry to burst your bubble but it is the Democrats that are fighting against e-verify.

I'd favor three strikes and you're out, meaning a corp with 3 violations hiring someone should see all assets seized, with the business auctioned off, and every single officer or equity stakeholder employed at the corp should be barred, for life, from either being an officer or a substantial equity player at any corp in any state, for life. That ban should extend to all family members as well.

In addition, officers and equity stakeholders should also have their children's 529 college assets seized as ill gotten gain.

This is the common sense approach that Obama WILL not take.

Illegals and their supporters will fight this tooth and nail to keep their illegal brethren working.

And it's obvious which side this moronic traitor is on, as proven by the recent travesty he just signed.

You'd have to sanction entire states at this point.

There is no way around it: our country is dependent on these guys. We're in too deep.

Nope. Our country is NOT dependent on "these guys". Who do you think did the work they do before we got infested with illegals? Americans did those jobs and will do them again. We, as a nation, owe illegals nothing.

Surely you jest. America has lost its way; we have become lazy and complacent. They are merely taking advantage of that. It is too late to stop the madness.

Just imagine actually trying to sanction any business that takes advantage of illegals. Construction companies, lawn care agencies, pizza shops, restaurants, farms, cleaning ladies, you can't possibly believe we could hunt them all down. I'm a college student and guess who cleans my dorm? The governments of both the US and Mexico profit from illegal immigration. That is why our country caters to them. Both of them actively entice illegal migrants to the US and neither have any plans to end it any time soon.

If you are referring to most Americans no we are not lazy and complacent.

We have already caught businesses that hired illegals and they have been fined severely. The problem is that it is hard to prove that they "knowingly" hired them because these illegals use some very authentic looking documents when applying for a job. It is the personnel dept. that hires them and sometimes they know they are hiring an illegal alien. E-verify would take care of that. We don't need to hunt them down.

I'm not pessimistic like you. I believe this madness will end at some point.
