This website touts the benefits of having a baby in the United States. Isn't this illegal? We just saw the raid in Southern California for a similar operation.
That website both disgusted and angered me. No, sadly, it's not illegal. Politicians (except for a very small number) steadfastly refuse to deal with the whole anchor baby/birth tourism fiasco. It's long past time to end this nonsense!

It is illegal. This site encourages women to come here for the sole purpose of having a baby who will be a US citizen. This means they will lie on the VISA application. That is illegal.

But it is a fact that having a baby in America absolutely does provide a lot of benefits to the parents, letting them know that fact is just sharing factual information.
Unless the website actually advocates that people lie, I don't see the illegality here.

If you took the time to peruse the website, you would clearly see that people are coached on how to get a passport for a child born in the United States. I love how a for profit hospital and for profit doctors gain wealth by promoting having a baby in the US for the purpose of citizenship.

If a child is born in the US, they are a citizen- that's just a fact- and that endows the citizen with all kinds of benefits- also a fact.
The hospital and the doctor are just letting their customers know about the facts. Seeking a profit from this isn't a crime.
A lot of people know about this already, the hospital's decision to publicize just bring this information to more people. It isn't a secret law.
Probably. But the woman might have multiple reasons to come to the US. They might want to do tourism, visit relatives or any other legitimate reason.
LOL. These women pay big bucks up front to have a baby in the United States. I doubt most have any relatives in the United States. They come from Russia, Africa, China, and all over the globe to have a baby who will gain US citizenship.

People abroad aren't stupid, they know about the relaxed policies toward illegals in America ok'ed last month by Congress as well as the President, and the benefits they can receive if they come here.
I'm sure its tough to leave home, but many of the people abroad are living in fairly destitute circumstances. If the door is open, many will come, the hospital is just rolling out the welcome mat.
