Leprosy is not a child-hood disease nor is there a vaccine for it.

Hopefully, other countries don't limit access to foreigners from a country with a bad disease... The first recognized case of AIDS was from the U.S.A. Maybe we could admit people pending a medical exam, which could be administered upon requesting a visa or a passport. But, there are 12 million illegal aliens in the U.S. now. There's no way to stop border crossings, legal or not.

We do require a medical exam, and many other countries require it as well for those coming in to live, not visit. But a medical exam may not always detect some diseases and in particular, parasites.

And some countries, GB and the Netherlands, are rather strict about incoming animals, and plant life, as well, but I think we are very cautious about these at customs stations.

If we are experiencing any epidemics they are a result of poor screening.

Just for the record, that Leprosy did not come from Mexico, it came from the Marshall Islands.
Marshall Islands immigrants in Springdale, Arkansas: leprosy, VD, TB

Which are a set of Islands where the United States tested Nuclear Weapons...

U.S. Nuclear Testing Program in the Marshall Islands

I can see that the citizens of the Marshall Islands have long suffered from U.S nuclear test and probably have a compromised immune system....Marshall Islands have the most counts of Leprosy in the world!!!

So where to place the blame for that??? I'll await your comments.
Oh my!!!! Ignorance abounds with you.

Leprosy was around way before there was ever any nuclear weapons. Learn some history before posting such tripe. In fact, read your Bible about the cases in that day and age.

Of course Nuclear Weapons did not cause Leprosy...However, a place that had 66 nukes tested on them now has the highest rate of Leprosy in the world. I think we can draw a correlation from Nukes->Weak Immune System.

For those who are NOT paying attention, please refer to the Arkansas board. This story has been RETRACTED by the news outlet who put it out. This outbreak/emminent epidemic does not exist.

There is no evidence that the HIV virus originated in the USA. Mostly some part of Africa. There's a reason that Haiti has a lot of cases of AIDS -- a much higher rate than does the USA.
