Some of the Stanford dissidents, though, came with a concrete demand for the university’s administrators: investigating the possibility of the South Bay campus serving as a sanctuary against the sort of millions of deportations Trump has said he’ll seek as president.

These Children just do not get it and its easy spending other peoples money. As far as walking out I would fail them for not having the determination to complete their education which is paid by Parents and the US Tax Payer.

They can go back and apply like we did. We waited in line for years until it was our turn. Not all visa will give you a path to a green card and on top of that not everyone will be getting a visa as you will need to have a reason to come here that is valid.

On top of that your background needs to be checked and you have to pay the fees. You have to leave the Country every 2 years to be in compliance with your I-94 requirements and all illegal will have to join the line like we did.

No skipping the line, just start at the back like we did.

It took is 15 years so they have to prepare for that too and maybe they can do it faster. Otherwise they know they have 15 years to save money for all the fees and trips.

Some may have to wait longer as the kids have to turn 21 to be able to sponsor their parents. Parents need to be endorsed by their kids and kids need to make enough money to sponsor their parents.

Very fair system, BUT the time lines are not fair and neither is the E2 visa requirements fair as they don't give a path to a green card which should change.

The parents (illegal)of anchor babies should also keep in mind that since they over stayed they now have the time to go back and have their 10 year ban started so they can be endorsed by the time the kids are old enough.

There should be punishment for not doing it the right way otherwise everyone will do it the wrong way.

Obama wanted to hold up green cards and pass them out while refusing to hold them up for legal aliens.

That's why legal aliens who became citizens, didn't vote for Hillary!

It says faculty and staff walked out too. Would that I could leave my job when I don't like election results and still get paid.

Unless they have legal student visas, there is a problem and these students in the end are protesting Americans getting college spots and fellow Americans getting gainful employment.

Why are people here so hating on where they came from, are those places hell on earth or just lacking the Dole and free rides?

How does an illegal afford college? How are they getting admitted?

Private schools can admit anyone they want and provide as much financial aid as they (the college) wants.

In California, Dreamers and DACA students are not eligible for federal student aid, however they are eligible for state and college financial aid.

It sounds like these well intentioned students need a slap of reality.

I am so glad that Trump got elected. What he proposes for illegal aliens is not pretty or popular but it is necessary to preserve America.

I wonder if any of these students were the victims of a crime at the hands of an illegal alien if that would change their minds about them? I wonder how they would feel if suddenly the cost to attend their college went up and hit them in the pocket books because someone has to pay for the illegal kids? How do they feel about the people who take advantage of illegal aliens, oh wait their answer is amnesty when it should be let's not have any illegals.

The bigger question is who and what are they teaching these kids?
