What the hell is wrong with this country?

More than 500 Stanford University students, faculty and staff members walked out of classrooms and ducked out of jobs Tuesday in a protest of the policies of Donald Trump, the latest in a wave of Bay Area and national demonstrations against the president-elect.
Some of the Stanford dissidents, though, came with a concrete demand for the university’s administrators: investigating the possibility of the South Bay campus serving as a sanctuary against the sort of millions of deportations Trump has said he’ll seek as president.

I think those who walk out should be held accountable for their actions and should face the consequences. I would NEVER voluntarily miss class if I were attending higher education classes. And doing so with this excuse should carry consequences.

Oh please. I really wish we could just cut selected pieces out of CA and let them self govern. CA is such a beautiful state....it's just run by raving lunatics. And they've turned my state into a copy now via the Vegas population base.

Shout, scream, throw tantrums. Nobody is above the law in this country. I am a legal immigrant & have taken the law very seriously for the fear of deportation. This is how it is supposed to be. If these idiots move to Canada & start breaking their laws, dont blame Canadian govt for deporting them. You move here for better opportunities & should respect, obey the law of the land. Disobeying law & order might be the norm in your third world messed up countries but here we have rules.

What gets me is the faculty and staff are involved. These are the examples that these professors are setting for our youth. They should be fired on the spot

What, $50K a year for tuition? And you walk out of class to throw temper tantrums and suck your thumbs?

Your parents (you know, the people paying that tuition) must be so proud.
