Someone in my family told me today that because Obama signed the bill for DREAMERS that these dreamers are told to travel now and not after Trump is in office as now they can freely travel in and out of the country!

If that is true than it is even more nuts than I already thought the system is.

Prior to our green card, etc. we had to travel outside the country every 2 years even though our visa was for 5 years, to be in compliance with the I-94 requirements. For a family that is a large travel expense every two years. Time to leave would always be an issue with schools, business, money wise and again applying for new drivers licenses, etc.

How the government can just walk over the legal system and act like legal aliens are criminals and have to comply with the system while DREAMERS and their family can stay and don't have to be checked and all these cost have been saved by them.

How can this be fair!

It makes me more mad, each time I hear that DREAMERS and their family are afraid to be torn apart. There are legal aliens who have faced the same things.

Talk to E2 visa holders and you will hear the horror stories and that is about legal aliens.

Dreamers can travel outside the US, but there is a procedure that must be followed and approved - https://www.us-immigration.com/blog/...-circumstances . Some of the kids traveling abroad were doing a college study abroad program or volunteering.

Obama has advised Dreamers not to be outside the US after January 21st as they might not be allowed to return to the US

On what passport do they travel? The U.S. only issues them re-entry permits (which I disagree with, they're in the U.S. illegally), not passports.

President Obama has not advised that, rather some lawyers and advocates.
