The nation's undocumented immigrants -- approximately 11 million by a 2014 Pew Research estimate -- could be made a priority for deportation as a result of the executive order signed by President Donald Trump Wednesday, according to legal experts.

The order delineates several categories of undocumented immigrants who are priority for removal from the United States including those who have been "charged with any criminal offense" or those who have "committed acts that constitute as a chargeable offense."

Stuff just got real.

If I was an illegal alien; I'd be thinking seriously about leaving ASAP.

Before mass deportations let's offer any illegal person in the USA the opportunity to come forward, admit their crime, and if they haven't caused any problems and consistently worked get to pay a fine and renew their green card or visa. No citizenship for them but the chance to stay if they continue to not cause problems. After the amnesty period is over anyone caught here illegally should be deported no matter what.

1 way to cut out MOST of their illegal kind would be to deny ANY alien "amnesty" even if convicted of a traffic ticket. That'd probably get rid of 90 percent right there.

This doesn't make any sense to me. An illegal alien doesn't have a green card or visa, thus the illegal. Yes, some overstay a visa, but we have a law that deals with that just like we have a law to deal with those that entered the US illegally. They committed a crime. Are you then on board with releasing a million US citizens from prison that committed non-violent crime IF they promise not to cause "problems"?

Rewarding a criminal? Oh, heck NO!

We announce that within 90 days, we will start seeking and deporting illegal aliens and their anchor babies, dreamers, the whole bunch of them, and if they are still here and apprehended, we will deport them and they will forfeit all monies/real estate, etc that have been earned while they were criminally present in the USA. They can go out the same way they came in.

That's what we did in the 1980s and look where we are now. All that does if give the signal to illegals that if they come here and stay out of trouble long enough, they will be allowed to stay. How is that fair to millions of people around the world that want to come here and do so legally and can't because there are already millions of illegals here taking their place?

First off, there is no plan of mass deportations as the liberals and ethnocentrics claim. We tried amnesty back in 1986 and now we have at least quadruple the number of illegal aliens here today. Why have annual quotas for legal immigration if we are just going to grant those here illegally, amnesty?

As Oldglory stated, there won't be any "mass deportations".

Just by being here, illegals are causing problems. They take far, far more than they give.

The minute they sneak over the border or overstay a visa, they committed a crime. In order to support themselves, they need a job. It's illegal for them to work here in the first place. To get a job, they either get paid under the table, thus committing ID theft. Or they use a fake SSN. Despicably, there is a loophole in the law that says it's okay to use someone's SSN as long as you don't use their name with it. Meanwhile, if an illegal is using your SSN, the SSA won't tell you. You only find out when the IRS comes after you for not filing a return for a job you never worked. By that time, your credit could be ruined.

We have millions of people who came here legally. They obeyed our immigration laws and patiently awaited their turn to come here. How do you think amnesty for illegals makes the majority of them feel? I'll tell you---it makes them very angry.

Also, as others pointed out---amnesty is a disaster. The one in 1986 was supposed to be the one and only one ever. Yet, since then there have been several stealth amnesties. Democrats promised that the border would be secured and that no illegal would ever be able to find a job. The dems reneged on those promises.

If we cut the funding for sanctuary cities, not allow illegals to receive welfare, medicaid, or any other government assistance then they will self deport.

No scholarships, American citizens need them.

Charity starts at HOME!!!

Many come for the free benefits offered in the USA, that are not offered in their countries.

They play on our countries charitable nature to make fools of us.
