The governors of Mexico have written to an American court to express support for a Seattle-area man who has been detained for weeks despite his participation in a federal program to protect people who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

The National Conference of Governors of Mexico sent the letter to U.S. Magistrate Judge James Donohue, who is overseeing the case of Daniel Ramirez Medina. Ramirez, a 23-year-old Mexican, was arrested Feb. 10 in a Seattle suburb by immigration agents who initially arrived to detain his father, identified as a previously deported felon.

Mexican governors: if you people REALLY cared about 1 of your own citizens, you'd be getting him a place to live, a job and so on. NOT trying to force the US to allow ANY illegal alien to stay here.

Trump said he has a big heart for the Dreamers and he needs to be released soon.

I think you may have misunderstood. Big heart means sympathy for children who have criminals as parents. Sadly, this is on the parents and the choices they made.

I have a "dream" too, enforce the immigration laws the way they were written. These "dreamers" have already taken away from the education of our children in the US through the excessive costs for educating them.

I would think Mexico would welcome someone educated in the US. Of course, they are hoping that dreamer still has relatives in Mexico to send home those US dollars.

In the end, he will be released. Sadly he has to sit in detention until his court date.

ICE agents are people who couldn't qualify for FBI or city police departments; leaving legal interpretations to them is a BIG and costly mistake.

Waste of money with all these immigration court cases dealing with DACA.

But after a few rulings, ICE agents will lay off.

Let's get rid of DACA, no "ICE agents will lay off." Americans keep their jobs, criminals are deported, voters and tax payers are happy, it's a hat trick!

Agreed....If the corrupt government of Mexico is so concerned about this illegal alleged gang member they should ask for his return. And pay all expenses. ICE should throw in his father to sweeten the deal and cut cost for the Mexicans.

They don't want him back, they're going to do everything they can so he can stay here.
Mexico. What a horrible neighbor they are.

Mexico thinks they have a say on Illegal Mexico's in the US. Try breaking the law in Mexico and see how fast one ends in a Mexican Jail.

Per the bolded --- What a despicable thing to say---especially since you have no proof of it.

The most vocal supporters of the illegals are: Also here illegally, have skin in the game with relatives here illegally. Kind of like having an Uncle who robs banks but gives them money to live off of type of relationship.
