Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., was briefly arrested on Monday after protesting President Trump's immigration policy at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Chicago.
"We are staying until we get answers from ICE," Gutierrez tweeted Monday afternoon.
He said federal officials warned him that they could be arrested if they stay at the headquarters, and they said he was briefly arrested, but then released.
Luis Gutierrez is of Puerto Rican descent, and is a grandstander for many "minority causes." This one comes as no surprise, along with all the others with names like Smith, Watson, O'Malley (it is almost St. Patrick's Day), Doe, Jenkins, Johnson, Curtis, etc., who are part of the pro-illegal movement.
What is wrong with following the US immigration laws already on the books? Other countries' immigration laws are far stricter than ours (check out how Mexico handles illegals).
Until such time as all of our immigration laws are rescinded, the country needs to adhere to the rules in place.
(I am tempted to proclaim myself as an undocumented immigrant so I can reap all the rewards thereof.)
Gutierrez clearly backstabs Americans and legal immigrants to coddle illegals
