They are not deported for being illegal. When I worked as a server last year at a restaurant, one of our bussers who was illegal was arrested on 2 separate occasions. BOTH times for DUI and having no license. BOTH times he was in jail for a little bit, went to court, got a fine and that was it. He stood before a judge 2 times and was never deported, questioned about being illegal and they had to have obviously known. He was not the only one. I have worked with others who were illegal and were arrested and nothing ever happened to them. Your statement is a dream. It DOES NOT or WILL NOT happen like that-EVER.
Restaurants in my area are filled with illegal immigrants. And what one of my previous managers told me was that they were not INS and it was not there job to police these peoples immigration status. If they had "papers" that was fine, even if the papers looked completely false, which most times they do. I have seen numerous fake SSN cards and I can't believe anyone would believe it to be the real thing. That's crazy. Until the government actually does something with the borders and can come up with and create a new plan WITH Central America and other hispanic coutries nothing will change. The illegal population will just keep picking up and moving to a different city. Not being deported.
I, like Greatday, live in Arizona and can see with my own two eyes the dwindling number of Spanish speakers here in just the last 6 months------the stark reality is that about 85% of the illegal immigrants are from Latin American (mostly Mexico).

Living in arizona doesn't mean you know everything that is going on there. Unless you are Omnipresent and see every single thing that goes on over there. You and greatday assured me that McCain would lose the republican primary because you live in arizona and everyone you knew hated him. That turned out to be far from what happened.

Ah Bubba? I never said McCain would lose the republican primary - get your facts straight.
AND, I see literally 1000's being deported each and every week.
