I guess you're just part of that lucky upper tax bracket. Please believe me when I say that the average citizen is doing much worse than in previous administrations.

Only 2 more years!!! HAHAHA!!! I can't wait. Unless the Dem supports legalization of illegals. Then I'll be sad. Sigh. Oh well. I'll probably just vote for a third party again since I'm sure both main parties up for election will be equally smarmy and useless. Any one think there's any hope for a third party to win? Independents any good lately?

Yea, but I only *think* he's illegal. I mean, I'm pretty sure he is and I do think of him as illegal, but I don't have any *concrete proof* of it
Ahh, but there is the irony. In our country, one is innocent until proven guilty.

I *could* tell your employer that you are an addict stealing drugs from the pharmacy...but you would hope the system would work, yes?

They want to change our culture to suit them and a generation of political correctness and the dumbing down of the American populace has created an environment in which it will be possible for us to lose our National identity. A nation needs three things in order to exist, they are: Language, Borders and Culture. Our borders are nonexistent, we are losing our language every time we make concessions in favor of bilingualism (in some cases trilingualism such as in Michigan where all state forms are in English, Spanish and Arabic. We even have Arabic speakers available at the welfare office so they can get their food stamps) and by 2025 our culture will be lost in large part because of illegal immigration, but also because of the deliberate dumbing down of our children by the public school systems in regards to our history, heritage and national pride.
I don't think I could agree with you any more! Excellent post...political correctness can kiss my bootie!

I'm not in that lucky upper tax bracket and we are doing much better than we were ten years ago. We've worked hard, though, and earned what we have. Our 401K is doing great, hence the stockmarket and economy...have to give Bush some credit for that, definitely.

I am an average citizen not even close to the upper tax bracket. I bought a house made some money and re-investing what I made. I have a 401k that is doing pretty well. I have a well paying job, nothing spectacular and I'm doing better than ever. What type of average citizens are doing worse? Illegal(Oh I mean minority) homeownership is at it's higest ever. If illegals can come here and prosper why can't the average American citizen? We have 50 states in this country and at least 1 or more airports in each state, If you can't find a job in your town than move. What is the problem?

My sister ( liberal democrat) and was out of work for 3 years. She blamed Bush for not being able to find work and her problem was she didn't want to travel more than 5 miles from home.

One thing that every one could do is what I did, write your State Rep., Congressman, Senator and Governor. Don't be afraid to speak up and let these people know just how you feel about what your country has become because of this illegal alien crap. Make it very clear that you are not happy with the job they are doing making you take a back seat to illegals.
Make it very clear that you WILL remember them when they are up for re-election. It will take more than the people of TN, it will take people in all states to get anything done about it. Don't be afraid to put the heat on these people, let them know that you are serious. Every illegal in this country is a CRIMINAL period, the minute they come across the border they break Federal Laws and become criminals in this country. Anyone that wants to read that law I will happy to post it for all to read. These people are ALIENS not IMMIGRANTS.
ONE of the counties in NC (there are 100 total) has made a move in doing something about the ILLEGAL ALIENS. Can't give you a link at the moment, but Mecklenberg county is cracking down....article in News and Observer on Dec. 10 quoted the sheriff saying that he told any ILLEGALS that he arrested for a crime that they were being arrested for two crimes..."the first one when they crossed the border and the second one was the crime they were picked up for". Apparently, he has the backing of Sue Myrick, (R) who is a respresentative from NC. I have contacted her and expressed my thanks even though I am not from her district.....also contacted all of NC's representatives and our senators. I have read since that other counties were "looking" at the program. NC has been a goal for many because they could get drivers' licenses easily. The ILLEGAL who was driving drunk and killed the Marine and his girlfriend around Thanksgiving (NJ I believe) got his first license here in NC.

Whitney...I wish all states would incorporate that program...we truly need it. Thanks for the informative post!
