I’ve been on the employer side where E-Verify was used for new hires and have seen how it works first hand. A fake social security number would result in a Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC). In order to successfully get through E-Verify you must enter a valid name, DOB and SSN. The easiest way to bypass it is the way I mentioned previously.

Your argument is that when a S.S. comes back with a conflict that you only have to send it back in. It's not going to change the fact that someone else is already currently using that S.S. in another state. It's not going to change the fact that someone's tax returns are going to be all messed up. Even at best you are talking a few months.

No, what I’m saying is that anybody can go to the ID black market and get a stolen driver’s license with a matching social security card (on the streets they call this a ‘mica’). As long as the name, DOB and SS# all match then you can pass E-Verify every time.

Because e-verify is not enforced. The government does NOT want to stop this. Nothing has changed under Trump either. No one is arguing it is working. The argument is that it can if we wanted it to.

And many of these employers are solid Republicans, who stand for open borders.

There's an overall catch-all explanation for all of this: paying for the sin's of our Fathers!

One could argue that but then we have to note, our kids are going to pay also.

The immigrants that came here prior too WW2 did not assimilate. They stuck together in their ethnic ghettos of east coast cities. A few of them made it big no doubt, but the majority toiled away at low skill jobs for most of their lives.

Their children were the ones who assimilated. Migrants prior to WW2 and the migrants of today came / are coming for the same reasons. The only difference is the countries and languages have changed.

The migrants in question here are illegal aliens. They didn't come here legally as most did prior to WW2. Also they came from several different nations and spoke different languages. The millions of illegal aliens of today are mostly from one ethnic group and speak the same language. There is far less reason for them to assimilate into our society. So, with the constant influx of those from the same ethnic group it's a whole lot different than the past. Those from that same ethnic group also enjoy the highest quotas for legal immigration into our country and family reuinifications. That will transform our nation eventually demographically, politically and culturally. That is neither a lawful transformation nor a natural one. It's not unreasonable to expect that when that linguistic, cultural group becomes the majority that Spanish will be taught in our schools as the primary language and English will take a second seat behind it.
