Irish illegal immigrants want a special exemption, because of 'historic inequities'. Should they get it?

Of course not!

This does beg a bigger question, though......Why does the US have to accept any immigrant from anywhere? Is it in our constitution? Is it because we have a history of immigration? I believe that the answer is 'no', we do not have a higher obligation then any other country on this Earth to take in immigrants. I find it appalling that illegals of all ilk seem to think otherwise. Where did they get this entitled attitude from? The US owes them nothing. Regardless of country of origin.

NO! They should not get it. Let's ignore them.

No. Let's not set a precedent. There are hundreds of ethnic groups in this country. What will happen if they all want special treatment?

Illegal is illegal. If we give the Irish illegals the break, next its the mexican illegals b/c of that Aztlan BS, and so on and so forth. No breaks regardless of race color creed or nationality.

Absolutely not! No preferential treatment for ANY illegal aliens. The Irish are simply borrowing a page from La Raza and the Mexican government. Nice try, but no dice.

Of course not; illegal is illegal.

And; too, Ireland today has a per capita income greater than the USA----------if $$$ was the main reason, an Irishman would be nuts to even consider living here.

No special treatment. I wonder if they think they should get special treatment just because the citizens of Mexico do....
