The number of those apprehended crossing the southern border illegally during fiscal year 2021 that ends today exceeds the population of 11 American states.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, so far there have been over 1.5 million encounters of people crossing the southwest border through August.

That number will go up by 200,000 or more when September's encounters are included, if recent trends continue.

Imagine being a Border Patrol agent and having to deal with this mess. My heart goes out to them and the border cities that are being overwhelmed with these people.

so what?

the number apprehended/detained at the border is meaningless in comparison to any one or several "state's population".

It depicts the magnitude of this problem. No need for snark.

if the actual point is - "we've had more people attempt to enter the US THIS YEAR than the population of 11 states", sure. If that helps people grasp "2 million" better than well, just saying 2 million.

I hear tell that our border is CLOSED! Biden, his border czar, and his snarky press secretary all say it's closed!! So how can this be???

I am wondering if Biden's cheap labor invasion should be here in the P and C forums or in the True Crime forum.
