1973 was the last draft, and I doubt it will ever happen again. Forcing a bunch of people who don’t want to be in the military to go off to war is a stupid idea in the first place.
An all volunteer force is so much better. If illegal aliens volunteered to join the military, it might make sense to let them join.

I disagree. No one here illegally should be allowed to join our military and that is the law now. It makes no sense since they had no respect for our laws in the first place. They would only be doing it in hopes for a path to citizenship anyway and all the goodies that it would provide.
No one is suggesting that we can or will deport every single illegal alien but we can do much more than we are doing now. We can also do more about securing our border.

Black who were not considered American citizens during/before the Civil war served as volunteers in the Northern military and was used for cannon fodder in the failed assault at Battery Wagner battle against in the South.
In the north mainly in New York city there were deathly clashes between those drafted and their supporters and the military. Some of the clashes were because the wealthy who were drafted brought their way out of military duty by paying the less fortunate to serve in their place. Believe it or not it was legal at the time.

Illegals serving are little more than mercenaries. Never trust a mercenary. Besides that, we don't need illegals to fill our ranks. WE get plenty of qualified citizens. We should the illegals to build the wall. We will pay the the same wages that we pay prison labor. You should never reward criminals for their efforts.
I don't even want them building the wall. They aren't authorized to work here and again that would be taking jobs from Americans.

Nope, it's against the law and if Biden and Obama changed that all by themselves then they are in violation of the law themselves. You don't just hand out green cards to illegal aliens either it has to go through congress. So "lawfully" they cannot serve. How can someone be "sort of" legal anyway?
