Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, introduced the Border Safety and Security Act, or H.R. 29, which would require the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to turn away illegal immigrants who present themselves at the border “during any period when DHS cannot detain such an individual or return the individual to a foreign country.” The legislation is designed to relieve the pressure at overwhelmed detention centers along the southern border and prevent the mass release of migrants into the U.S.

Note that most Republicans in the House support this bill. Look at a couple of the names that don't. Go figure........Tony Gonzales, Texas, and Maria Elvira Salazar, Fla. — have criticized and held up the bill from moving forward, drawing the ire of border hawks. Tribal mentality at play again.

I guess border hawks are going to have to convince not only some Democrats but also those 'evil tribalists' from within the Republican party. Of course, Republicans can choose not to elect individuals with Latino names.
What is more likely is hawk Republicans are going to need to adapt their priorities and solutions to align themselves with what their less hawkish voter base wants or risk having even less representation from Democrats.

TX and FL thrive on illegal labor, and the businesses that hire them support those candidates that want to let them flow in. Both FL and TX have more than their share of illegals, so maybe most should be encouraged to live within the boundaries of both of those that disapprove of supporting our laws. Gee, illegals don't support our laws, and neither do Alvarez and Gonzales, so there could be a "theme" there.

They might as well switch over to the Democratic Party then. Infiltrators unwelcome.

I agree these "dissenters" are RINOs who need to switch parties.

Agreed. Asylum seekers should go to the nearest safe country for sanctuary if their claims are valid according to current established law.

The asylum system is a clown show and has become a workaround of our legal immigration system.

Pelosi for all her faults, knew how to herd the cats. Many question whether McCarthy can do the same.

Most of the brown people I know are against illegal aliens, as they (or their previous generations) immigrated legally and assimilated into American culture.
They were not showed with everything illegals receive, and met the requirements to become a citizen, which illegals likely never will be required to do.
Heck Biden wants to lower the requirements to pass a citizenship test, which is obviously the opposite thing you want to do. Working/studying hard to become a citizen gives you skin in the game, and makes you more familiar with our history and culture. Needless to say being able to speak our native tongue also helps.

Then tell me why most Hispanics vote Democrat then. Here's a good link about it.
