Using the term "illegal alien" is reportedly an infraction worthy of suspension in a North Carolina high school. In an email to the Carolina Journal, Leah McGhee described an incident in Central Davidson High School in Lexington where her 16-year-old son was suspended for three days last week over the term.
According to McGhee, an English teacher was giving an assignment that involved using vocabulary words such as the word "alien." In response, her son asked if the teacher meant "like space aliens or illegal aliens without green cards?"
Another student allegedly took offense to the term and threatened to fight McGhee’s son, forcing the teacher to contact the assistant principal. The staff later deemed the term to be offensive to Hispanic students and punished him.
So, in the country illegally. Aliens from another country here illegally
Damn, they MUST BE ILLEGAL ALIENS and the school is wrong.
Aliens from outer space would also enter illegally if they took up residence without having the legal right to do so.
However it's considered a joke to mention aliens from outer space. And it can be a slander to compare others to aliens from outer space.
However, students should feel they can ask any question if it's a serious question. But you can't take a question seriously if you mention aliens from outer space. Because of that I think we was being offensive. I don't think it deserves a suspension. It deserves some kind of action. Unless he continues.
However, threatening violence is even more egregious and deserves a serious reprimand.
Illegals aliens are those that enter a nation illegally by their own actions.
It is not representative of any ethnic group- it is an action.
The Administration of this student's school do not deal in reality.
Oh they know the reality they are just being PC. Our schools are the worst for indoctrinating our students and there are a large number of students in our schools here illegally.
The lawful immigration term for those in our country illegally is illegal aliens not undocumented or any other PC terms.
I'd bet dollars to donuts the student who took offense is the anchor baby of an illegal, particularly given the Hispanic population of North Carolina. Our green cards for permanent legal residents still say resident "alien" don't they? And illegal is a perfectly valid adjective when someone is breaking the law. Illegal aliens are not a protected class like race, sex, disability, etc. By their logic, all Hispanics are illegal and the only type of illegal alien is a Hispanic one, which is just ludicrous. The family of the suspended student needs to sue.
Latino children are the largest group of children in American schools today. Why because many are children of illegal immigrants.
The Reconquista is alive and well and the liberal left are too ignorant not to recognize it. Once this invasion reaches critical mass they will be thrown under the bus like the rest of us and we will all lose our country.
"Illegal alien" is a lot more PC than what they used to be called.....
Ha, I've almost posted that several times! My dad was of Mexican heritage and even he used to call them a worse name, long after most had stopped using it. I was pretty surprised at the time, not to mention confused, but now I see where he was coming from. It was because they came here illegally, of course. It's a very descriptive word. lol
