This will sound strange but it may help just a little the situation in El Paso. Just the other day, there was an article about how many Mexicans are moving over, many very wealthy, paying cash for expensive homes. Only the very naive would believe that cash they bring is anything but cartel money.

The problem with these very rich Mexicans moving in, is that they are the drug cartels. They figure that by moving over to El Paso, they can hang onto their culture and language, their "connections", and control their operations well enough from this side of the border without having to face any reprecussions.

These are the people of Mexico with the big money and influence. Now they don't want to reap what they sowed, they want American taxpayers to provide them security.

This is only the natural progression. The drug cartels move over to escape the wrath of the competing cartel -- and now those cartels say they'll come over after them. None of the targets are law-abiding American citizens --- if they just keep it between themselves that's not too bad but what I think may happen is the slow-down of the rich Mexicans in moving here. Maybe they'll look at other options like Miami or Spain.

Hmm.. interesting. As it turns out now, Hispanics who buy big homes are able to afford them as drug money because they couldn't afford them otherwise

First of all I didn't say "hispanics", I said Mexicans.

Second we are talking about a dirt wage town called El Paso where no one "earns" money to buy a $2 to $4 million dollar home. And we're talking people coming from Ciudad Juarez because they fear the opposing drug cartel is going to get them over there.

Oh my bad, Mexicans. And because only White people can afford 2-4 million dollar homes. Wow, just wow. . Can you spell out bigotry?

And believe it or not -- but the Mexican Mafia did not just get it in their mind to threaten innocent Americans living in the USA -- it has nothing to do with any Americans -- white, black, or hispanic, this threat has everything to do with making Mexicans drug lords realize that getting over to the USA is not going to safeguard them from whatever they are "owed".

And this is exactly what is behind the subject in the article for this thread. The Mexicans attempting to "escape" the wrath of their enemies in Juarez by moving over to the USA side of the border. Of course the cartels will okay their guys crossing over to get them.

In El Paso? Who? Whites don't afford $2-4 million homes in El Paso and the whites (or any innocent Americans or immigrants) don't have the drug cartels making threats to come in after them.

And check the time-lines of these two articles -- the one for this thread and the link I just posted. That's what this is all about.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Warring Mexican drug cartels have given their hit men permission to cross into the United States to kill their targets, according to warnings received by U.S. authorities.

Police and federal agents told The Associated Press about the warnings Monday, and officials along the border are beefing up security.

The TARGETS are moving over to the USA, from MEXICO, they are Mexican, they are wealthy (not here to pick lettuce) and they are being warned that they can run but they cannot hide.

The Mexican mafia did not just aimlessly make this threat and is not trying to frighten or antagonize Americans at all -- wouldn't be prudent.
