If you are born in africa then you are african
If you have african descent and are born in america, african american.
Same with mexican american, irish america, etc.

which is why "white people" can be african, if they are born in
africa, It's not really about race.

Prairiehog, thats not what she meant, she said it as imagery for mexicans to be disgusting, and a nuisance. Regardless of whether or not they breed fast, because then she would have called them bunnies, which is much cuter than roaches. I'm sure mexicans would rather be called bunnies over roaches any day.
