There were no known injuries in the latest incident, which occurred Wednesday evening when Border Patrol agents responded to a group making an illegal crossing in the area near Riverside High School in the Lower Valley, Border Patrol spokes man Doug Mosier said.
Agents chased an alleged smuggler who crossed back into Mexico, where he was joined by another person and they began throwing rocks at the agents, Mosier said.
"The smuggler took position behind a small tree, pointed a handgun and yelled he was going to kill them (the agents)," Mosier said.
This has to be one of the most underpaid group of people we have. They take great risks for our benifit and should be paid for their service, not thrown in jail for doing their jobs. What a mess.

That is living proof that the desperation is growing amongst the illegals. Needless to say: our BP agents need to be allowed to protect themselves--------up to and including 'taking out' that gun wielding assailant. If the latter was in Mexico and drew a bead on the agent on the US side and got hit-----oh, well.
why fight them with guns? outlawing sending money out of the country (as does france)
will stop it dead. why dont they. its an under the table nafta. and its hurting america.

ITA. The border patrol should be able to shoot at their discretion. It's way past time to take the PC gloves off and stoop to the level of their enemy, however and whenever they feel it is appropriate. These are people who don't even value their own lives and they certainly don't give a flying fig about the destruction of American lives.
The border patrol should be armed with Saiga 12's not 9mm's. For that matter they should also have the benefit of calling on cobra's or apache gunships for support.
here we sit losing soldiers protecting the borders of a country a world away..
but yet we can't protect our own border from invaders...
Guess how many would sneak over if we used aggressive force...
no more mexican drug runners.. no more mexican army crossing over..
no more anchor babies.. no more trails of trash.. no more illegal mexicans.. period.
there is only one way to stop these paracites from infesting our country!
It's a good thing that the agents didn't try to defend themselves. God forbid that they should have injured a poor, innocent drug smuggler. I'm sure though, that Johnny Sutton's method of warning BP agents what happens when they do their jobs, is ever present in their minds.
