WASHINGTON — The U.S. government has completed 500 miles of fencing along the border with Mexico, which is just 170 miles short of its goal.
At this pace, the administration expects to have at least 600 miles complete by Jan. 20 when the Obama administration takes office, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said earlier this month.
It's not the illegal aliens committing that violence. I don't think you understand how many Americans are involved in the drug trade.
U really think every load of drugs coming across the desert in a stolen F250 is being driven by an American? Every jam packed load of "migrants" being led to houses to be held for ransom? Every Coyote leading a line of people through the Mts to the highway where many die on the way by the hands of the Coyote?

Too: Meth use here in the USA is declining due to it getting the same rep as crack cocaine did 10 years ago-----------both drugs are bad news.
More and more: I am suspecting that a lot of the vicious violence in Mexico as of late is being fueled by Meth-----------the dealers 'need' to sell their wares somewhere.
Going off the path of least resistance...Would be good for states to compete against each other for having the strongest fence, and not be the weak link! lol
