There is no comparison between the Minutemen and amnesty for 20+ million illegal aliens. You’re trying to compare apples to oranges.

There wasn't a comparison. What I'm saying is, why are people waiting until after it passes to get vocal about it?
The ones making moves are all those fringe activists, and there's not many.

They aren't waiting for it to pass. Why do you think it has failed each time they have attempted to pass the bill? C'mon, surely you can comprehend what has happened.

when we refuse to enforce the law we too are law breakers.
pretending they are not here but reaping the rewards is shameful.
the battle is not between us and them, it is between us and us.

Excellent point, and I completely agree.

Greed - corporate and political - has allowed this untenable situation to continue. As to the rank and file American...I don't think we noticed how large and bad the problem was until the infamous 'Day without illegals'.
Nonetheless, it certainly has been businesses and politicians on local, state and national levels who have encouraged this trend and benefitted massively by it. Completely shameful, and it does need to stop. It is past time that we hold our representatives responsible for this mess.

Actually, We the People have shot down every attempt at "amnesty" (and overwhelmingly so) ever since the ill-fated 1986 Reagan amnesty was shoved down our throats.

That's why there is the check and balance system of the House and Senate. There is always the hope that elected officials will actually vote the will of the people--which the House most certainly did.
