Why do they choose to have so many children in the US; particularly, considering their inability to support them? You don’t think “free” prenatal/postnatal care, WIC, welfare, subsidized housing, and the chance to remain in this country could be factors, do you?

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) — Growing numbers of children of illegal immigrants are being born in this country, and they are nearly twice as likely to live in poverty than those with American-born parents, a report says.

The study released Tuesday by the Pew Hispanic Center highlights a growing dilemma in the immigration debate: Illegal immigrants' children born in the United States are American citizens, yet they struggle in poverty and uncertainty along with parents who fear deportation, toil largely in low-wage jobs and face layoffs in an ailing economy.

Roughly three out of four of their children — or 4 million — were born in the U.S. In 2003, 2.7 million children of illegal immigrants were born in this country.

All the more reason to cancel birthright citizenship (assuming that both parents are here illegally) and strip those Anchors under age 12 of it as well.

Most illegals appear to be ignorant and uneducated based on their inability-unwillingness to speak English, but they are highly intelligent of the fact that they are able to have their anchor babies here because their offspring will be granted instant citizenship.

Some people will argue that it's their tradtion to produce large families, and there is nothing wrong with large families if they are self-sufficient. But we all know in the illgal immigrants' case that they are a major inconvenience to taxpayers because they take advantage of free services and are a drain on the welfare system.

So there are a few solutions.
(a) Cut off all government aid to anybody living here illegally
(b) Prosecute any business that hires illegal immigrants
(c) Do away with the 14th amendment

If there was no incentive to milk the system, if jobs were reserved only for legal citizens, and if anchor babies were declared illegal also, there wouldn't be any reason for migrants to be here.

Absolutely. Furthermore, they are now having less children in Mexico; so why not here? I think we all know the answer.

Hey, isnt Obama an Anchor baby??? I thought his dad wasnt an american citizen, but his mom was, so, that would give his dad and anchor to be here... (But, since he was unhappy with this place..being Hawaii, he chose to go back to his own Country).

Just a guess....

May the LORD Bless each of you.

I wish you well...

Jesse

Obama's mother was born in this country, and his dad was not an illegal alien. Thus, he is NOT an anchor baby. Try again.

And even if Obama was an Anchor: he would have been grandfathered as a US citizen back in 1986.

As most of us anti's have pointed out: it is the new Anchors that we are trying to prevent.

Yes...without addressing the Obama situation at ALL, I've often, and repeatedly stated that "what ONCE was OK; or 'tolerated'; or 'not a big problem' in earlier times, is NOT neccessarily OK now, nor will it be in the future". This is true in MANY facets of life, illegal immigration among them. What 'worked' once doesn't neccessarily 'work' now, and we can say this without any hypocrisy. Things change, and the present is different from the past.

I wonder if even one of these illegals made any effort to pay the maternity hospital bill or any of the maternity doctors. I would guess not a single one paid even a dime.

There is no better proof that a very large number is not coming to work hard or improve themselves. They're coming for the government handouts and giving birth for the purpose of having a way around the legal immigration process.

The baby is their ticket the many wonderful and generous welfare programs, the real magnet. Once the baby is born, there will be no more hard work for them.

No, he really was not. His mother was an American, same as her parents were. She did not give birth to a baby simply to find a way to break the laws of the USA.

I don't believe his father stayed here. Actually his mother didn't either as she later married and lived in Indonesia.
