The best course of action for the immediate future is within your local gov level.
You have more control, crying to the feds will get you nowhere.
There definitely needs to be some sort of organization created to attack illegal immigration on a local level. Put something together and deputize local residents who on a strictly volunteer status can then go out to the streets and begin enforcement, whether it be direct, or detaining until proper authorities arrive, or gathering information on illegal immigrant housing, places of business, whatever.

And lock up anybody who even thinks of muttering the race card. Shut the hell up.
I'm sick and tired of all these groups running around calling anyone who comes down on illegal immigration "racists". Shut your mouth and go find another more useful hobby. I don't give a rats ass what color your skin is, if you're here illegally, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL. End of story. Mexican, Canadian, Ireland, I don't care. If you're not paying your fair share and contributing positively to society, then you should be locked up or better yet, thrown the hell out.

And stop with the "PC" crap. If you can't produce documentation, then they should immediately throw you the hell out and let you sort out the problem if you've been falsely accused. Don't jail them, don't hold them while trying to verify information, send them immediately to a processing station that would deport them back to their native country immediately, or where ever the hell they came from.

Whatever. The whole issue is a waste of time. It's probabally never gonna change, ever. At best we could probabally hope for it to not get too much worse than it is now.
E-Verify would make a big change in that.

The big difference is that when the Europeans came here, there was no country here to illegally enter, and there were no immigration laws here to violate.

Whoa Trigger, your jumpping the gun here...the story said Day Laborers...never said "Illegals". That a determination left to a court.
You may think you know...but in a court of law, you need proof.
You don't know if these guys were citizens, had green cards or here illegally.

True.
But there were a few native residents that got evicted.

Go to any “day labor†site, or any Home Depot parking lot and yell, “La Migra!†The place will empty in a flash.

Easy because our government dont care. They welcome these people with open arms and offer them OUR jobs and OUR house and OUR money because they are up in the office where they "make the rules" and have plenty to take care of themselves and dont have to worry bout losing their jobs or homes even after they get elected out of office. As I said the governemnt isnt and wont do jack sh*t, so we the American citizens need to start taking things into our own hands but how do you do that without the help of the government? As you sawl the citizens arrested them but the government didnt care and put them back on the street. Thats like digging a big hole and having someone pile more crap into it while your digging.

Someone needs to dig really, really deep into the law, and see if there is a legal loophole to allow citizens to detain and then deport illegal immigrants.
Not that I'm advocating that option though. It would probabally get way out of hand real fast. But perhaps there is a legal loophole to "deputize" citizens in an organized and perfectly legal way to humanely irradicate illegal immigrants.
Nah. Unlikely.

They need to start going after those who hire them. It's the only way to prevent them from working here. DON'T HIRE THEM...
Another case for a work permit system...NO permit = NO work period

I've done that at the Home Depot in Sanbernardino, Ca. with camera in hand and everything.
Talking about FUNNY!
It even made it into the Sanbernardino Sun newspaper. the next day.
