“We’re killing ourselves being politically correct. Somebody needs to step up and talk about these tough issues.” Tom Mielke Clark County Commissioner

A proposal by County Commissioner Tom Mielke that Clark County should withhold some public health services from people without valid Social Security numbers has inflamed some Latino civil rights advocates.

Mielke's comments draw ire of Latinos - Columbian.com (http://www.columbian.com/article/20090530/NEWS02/705309956/Mielke+s+comments+draw+ire+of+Latinos - broken link)

When will they learn that playing the race card does not magically negate the reality that millions of illegal alien "latinos" are destroying America and bankrupting our social services that are in place for tax paying Americans and legal residents?

They have no justification for their lies and deceit and the race card does not justify their support for or the presence of their illegal alien raza.

Though Mielke didn’t explicitly mention race, Maria Rodriguez-Salazar, a Vancouver resident in the League of United Latin American Citizens, contacted local media Friday to say his comments were implicitly racist and threaten to provoke violence against Latinos.

"People are using immigration as a front, as a code word, for being anti-Latino," she said. "Immigration has become a racist issue."

"We are part of this community," said Vancouver attorney Eulalia Soto-Esquivel, who opened an immigration and family law office on East 13th Street last year.

Soto-Esquivel said she’d entered the United States illegally, but gained legal status during the 1987 amnesty program.

Anti-Hispanic = a bias against those of a certain race/ethnicity

Anti-Illegal = a bias against those who are breaking the law, regardless of whether they are white, black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, etc.

Seems simple enough. Why are there so many who fail to see it?

Simple.

Because the illegal alien losers here in the USA are mostly 'Hispanic' and are butt-hurt at the (growing) possibility that there will be mass deportations very soon------------hence those criminals grasping at straws via the race card.

Needless to say: the race card has now expired.

This started long before the recent talk of mass deportations. Back in the '90's, Proposition 187 in California was struck down using the race card. Even members of the judiciary fail to see the difference.
